Hey, guys.
So, there's little news out on the new KH2:Final Mix and RE:Chain of Memories, but initial reports are implying (though not stating outright) that it may not be brought over to North America. This is not a surprise, of course, but it is a disappointment.
With KH1, I kind of let that pass, but it occurs to me that writing a nice letter telling Square-Enix USA that I *want* it will make it more likely to happen. In fact, every person who writes a letter to Square-Enix showing that they want Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, RE:Chain of Memories, or both... will make it that much more likely to happen. Businesses take every person who writes in as a sign of a lot of people who feel the same way but didn't make the effort.
I know this is awkward to a lot of people, but I'm going to ask you, if you want this game, to considre writing the company. It can be a short letter or a long one, but every little bit is likely to help. All I ask is that you keep your tone polite, enthusiastic, and hopeful -- we're not here to harass them or accuse them, just show them how much we want it.
I browsed through S-E USA's website, and they said to direct all company questions to support[at]square-enix-usa[dot]com. There was no other address to contact them given, so I'm using that, but with a note that I'm not sure if it's the right one, and if it isn't, to please forward it to the correct department.
I'm not going to C&P the letter I'm sending (because a C&P of that which someone else sent in would have less effect than unique/new letters), but if you want to write and aren't sure what to say, here's the point form notes of the things I covered:
- Subject heading: includes the names of the games and a 'about a possible North American relaese'
- Note that I'm not sure if this is the right address, and if not, can they please forward it to the right place, thanks.
- My statistical information (name, location, age, gender)
- The names of the games again
- Expression of my enthusiasm over the fact they were being made and due to be released in Japan in Spring 2007, and my fear they wouldn't be brought over.
- Expression of my love of the series, and how I'd regretted not getting KH1:Final Mix (and things I missed out on because of it), and didn't want to miss out again.
- Hope that they will, in fact, bring it over.
- Double emphasis likewise on RE:Chain of Memories, and that even if we didn't get Final Mix, I hoped they'd still bring that over.
- Understanding that it might be difficult to dub, but expressed total willingness to play the game with the voices in Japanese with English Subtitles.
- Mention of other people who were likewise interested and really wanted the game. ("I talked to all my friends and they also were really enthusiastic", that sort of thing)
- Asking what I, as a fan, can do to help the company get these games translated and brought over to North America.
- Thanking them for the time they took to read my letter
- full name.
- Check, again, that the entire letter is polite, hopeful, and expressing a willingness to do what I can to help get it.
If people are willing to do this -- heck. We might see it after all. And if not, at least we tried, right?
Thanks! And feel free to pass this on to other fans. :) Linking is fine, C&Ping is fine, whatever, really. :Db

Another post suggesting similar things, also with a link to an (online) petition for bringing over RE:CoM.
